DOWNTOWN BENTONVILLE HOSTS ‘OKTOBERFEST’ FIRST FRIDAY

News

Bentonville, AR - For the final time in 2023, Downtown Bentonville Incorporated is hosting First Friday Fueled by ZOA Energy Drinks.

This family-friendly, FREE event is Friday, October 6th, as the streets of Downtown Bentonville will be transformed into ‘Oktoberfest’.

Our monthly sponsor, Werther's Original, will have plenty of free candy.  On the Mainstage at 7:10pm Werther's will host a ‘Caramel Creations’  taste-test contest.  The event features downtown businesses Ozark Mountain Bagel, Superfine Sweet Shop, and Bakery at Table Mesa.

Unique to Oktoberfest, is our Biergarten (Beer Garden).  Starting at 4pm, for those 21 and up, local companies will have beer on tap.  Located in the alley behind Arvest Bank, the beer garden will also have entertainment, trivia, and traditional German food.

One of Bentonville’s favorite bands, Jukebox Confession, will headline the Mainstage at 7:40pm.  The music on stage will begin at 5:00pm with March to August, and follow up with Church Street at 6pm.

First Friday ‘Lunch Break’ continues this month, allowing folks to enjoy the food trucks around the square a little early.  Our local food trucks will start serving lunch at 11am.

At Noon, Yoga on the Square will offer a free class from Yoga Story. All levels are welcome to attend.

As always parking is difficult, so DBI encourages everyone to arrive early. The full First Friday event begins at 3pm.

Here is a free map from Visit Bentonville to help with parking.

DBI and Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville are offering a free shuttle service for attendees with mobility issues.  Guests utilizing the shuttle are encouraged to park at the FBC west parking lot, located at 2nd Street and B Street.  Signage will show drivers where to park.  A 16-passenger ADA shuttle will pick up and drop off drivers and their passengers to a safe location within the event’s footprint.  The service runs from 4pm to 8pm.

Downtown Bentonville Inc. and our partners Trailblazers, People for Bikes NWA, Runway Group, and Visit Bentonville encourage our community to ride to First Friday!  A Downtown Bentonville Park and Ride map has been created to aid in visiting downtown Bentonville without a car.
