City of Bentonville and Downtown Bentonville Inc Announce Bentonville Together: A Celebration of Our Multicultural Community

Festival to highlight and celebrate the many cultures calling Bentonville Home

Today, the City of Bentonville’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Task Force and Downtown Bentonville Inc. (DBI) announced “Bentonville Together: A Celebration of Our Multicul-tural Community.”

This one-day festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 4 pm – 9 pm on the Bentonville Square and will provide a first-class inclusive experience through dance, music, food, arts and crafts, and linguistic lessons.

The Bentonville DEI Community Task Force, in partnership with DBI, will produce the event’s three pri-mary sections: Taste, Discover, and Learn. The Taste section will feature food trucks specializing in eth-nic cuisine. In the Discover section, attendees will hear historical aspects, migration stories, religious practices, and family traditions from “Living Legends.” The Learn section will house the Kids Corner for arts and crafts, linguistic lessons, and more.

The event is presented by PepsiCo. Live entertainment will be showcased on the main stage.

The event will conclude with music from a local band.

The purpose of this free* event is to provide an opportunity for Bentonville residents to celebrate their respective cultures and introduce them to other local families, ultimately increasing awareness about the many groups represented in the area. Through interacting within the different sections, the event will teach second and subsequent generations more about their heritage.
