Bentonville Bond Extension Information for Voters

If you are a Bentonville voter, you will be asked to consider a bond extension that will allow infrastructure, public safety, and efficiency improvements without a tax increase. The special election will be held on April 13, 2021.  

Here is additional information to help you with your decision:

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤?

Approval will allow the city to utilize the extension of a one-cent sales tax. This is a bond extension previously approved by voters in 2003 and 2007.

Bonds are a way for financially strong cities such as Bentonville to get the money needed for improvements by using existing tax revenue instead of increasing taxes.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝?

Voters will be asked to consider nine ballot items --- street improvements, parks and recreation improvements, public library improvements, public safety radio communication system, fire training facility, police training facility, drainage improvements, refunding bonds, sales and use tax extension.
